Visitor Visas & Super Visas: common questions

How long can a super visa holder stay?

IRCC says super visa holders can visit for up to five years at a time, with multiple entries over a validity of up to 10 years, provided requirements such as private health insurance and host income are met.

Can I extend my visit from inside Canada?

Usually yes, by applying for a visitor record before your authorized stay ends. If it has already ended, restoration of status may be possible within a limited window.
